The study of history, in some disciplines, has traditionally been divided between Prehistory and History, however, it is worth asking if it is totally correct to continue using the concept of Prehistory, in light of the advances that have been achieved in auxiliary disciplines of history in recent decades? We intend to answer this question, which has been the subject of much-needed debate. Several authors in the study programs of the Cuban school intend to reflect on this problem and socialize how the subject is treated, without the intention of imposing points of view or turning it into a "straitjacket", but rather to contribute to the necessary debate that leads to the correct treatment of historical truth.
