The acute respiratory distress syndrome, includes a relatively uniform radiological and physiological constellation of clinical features respiratory failure in patients with quick start. At present there are experts who consider the need to call this syndrome Diffuse alveolar injury, by histopathological reports this. The objective of this review paper is to make known the histopathologic changes of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome and the relationship with current clinical classifications.
