The work presented in this paper is part of an analysis regarding the culture and identity of the displaced Triqui community of San Juan Copala, which -in the first instance- allows us to identify the multiple human rights factors that have been violated as a result of this social phenomenon, and thus leads us to make a distinction between the primordial characteristics of the Triqui culture. The aforementioned, aimed at dimensioning and clarifying the implications of forced internal displacement for the said community, allows us to question whether this forced mobility acts as an element in the promotion of de-indianization.
