Abstract: The objective of this study is to explain how the Crucitas race emerged and was stablished. To understand how this athletic event developed, I analyze the main patterns - built elements - that have somehow modified the social dynamics of this race. I, likewise, briefly explain how the social context - the situation - has changed in Jalisco in the last 50 years.
