The objective of the article is to understand the participation of the practitioners of Geography in Universidad de México y Universidad. Mensual de Cultura Popular, in the period 1930-1936, after the conquest its autonomy the National University. The methodology is based on the Social Studies of Science that allow to relate the History of Geography with University development. Among the results, the strategies of geographic diffusion and their relationship with Nineteenth-Century scientific dynamics to examine the thematic ruptures and continuities stand out in Twentieth-Century; the links between Geography and Social Sciences; and the participation of different practitioners of this science.
