Resumen
CARDENAS-TAPIA, Magali. Scientific collaboration networks at the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. Investig. adm. [online]. 2021, vol.50, n.127, 12706. Epub 02-Mar-2021. ISSN 2448-7678. https://doi.org/10.35426/iav50n127.06.
The objective of the article is to analyze scientific collaborations between members of the Research and Postgraduate Networks from the National Polytechnic Institute. The research method is quantitative with a complex systems approach, which allowed to analyze the coauthor ships of researchers within the period from 2018 to 2020 in databases from Google Scholar using centrality indicators: degree, closeness and betweenness centrality. The results indicate that the eleven networks have a scale free structure, the distribution of the degree variable indicates that 88% of researchers have less than 10 collaborations within the three years analyzed and just a small group has more than 100 collaborations. Closeness and Betweenness centrality variables indicate that more than 50% of researchers have a star structure, the most connected networks are: Environment, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Robotics. The originality lies in the analysis of the emergent behavior of networks. The limitation is the difficulty in the search of collaborations in databases.
