In this era of transformation through which the retail self-service goes through, the business projects where technology management participates have been negatively impacted on their compliance and control. In this sense, the objective is to generate a governance model to improve the performance of information technology projects. The design is descriptive and the quantitative method, the limitation of the methodological process is given in the application of an investigation instrument to the executives and project leaders of the selected sector in Mexico City. However, we come to the finding that environments with simple processes have become sustainable factors. As a result, it is understood that it is not a unilateral issue in which the technology area is aligned with the business, but rather how the two parties are linked through strategies. Its originality lies in the inclusion of agile, flexible and human factors.
