This article presents some thoughts, based on results of other publications that help assess and / or reassess the role and significance of the National System of Researchers (SNI) in scientific research programs in Mexico. Specifically Does the SNI, the passage of time, today represents a success in science policy in Mexico? Some actions, resulting in the three detected that operate SNI undoubtedly components function as triggers for this circle of Mexican research consolidation as the best program of science policy in Mexico are also proposed.
