Abstract

This paper diagnoses the dominant business culture and dominant organizational learning styles, also examines the relationship between the two concepts in the industry of pulp, cardboard and paper in Mexico, given that nowadays learning is a valuable resource for organizations, in a way that discovering their style of organizational learning in the context of the culture is a factor that favors the survival in today's volatile environment.

An instrument was applied to more than 400 managers in 25 plants in 15 States across the country, and the data obtained were analyzed with ANOVAS and regression.

Dominant culture and learning styles were diagnosed, and relationships between certain types of culture and organizational learning styles were found.
