This article aims at analyzing the behavior of a selected group of European and Latin American countries through a set of socioeconomic and environmental parameters from international organizations, and alternatives sources to derive some socioeconomic and environmental implications and externalities because of the process of globalization within each group. As the adoption of neoliberal strategies by most Latin American economies which came out, through time, into the current pattern of unbalanced, unsustainable and socially non-inclusive strategy prevailing among these countries versus the panorama existing among most developed nations in the European group, who observe a more balanced, socially inclusive and sustainable economic development. Especially apparent in the case of Scandinavian countries. Nowadays, the most successful case of this strategy on a market-oriented economy under current globalized context. Analysis time horizon ranges: 1980-2017.
