Nowadays, team diversity tends to be the work unity´s common model at organizations, thanks to transculturality, globalization and a constant interaction of different generations of employees at the same system. An accurate diverse team management involves important challenges at organizational environments. The leader is the figure who manages the resources and emerging states of a team to achieve results as: group performance. Derived from these phenomena, a literature review was carried out to identify elements that interact between transformational leadership and the group performance at organizations.
This is, predominantly, a descriptive and exploratory document, supported by documentary review. The conclusion reached is that organizations must know the role played between transformational leadership and group performance, where factors such as diversity of the members characteristics, group engagement, team cohesion and conflict among team members; In other words, the more knowledge there is of these characteristics, the better strategies can be applied to increase the effectiveness of transformational leadership and group performance.
