Resumen
ACOSTA SOSA, Raquel y JORDAN SALES, Lourdes. Impact of COVID-19 in the tourist cruise sector with operations in the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas. Trascender contab. gest. [online]. 2022, vol.7, n.20, pp.139-162. Epub 11-Nov-2022. ISSN 2448-6388. https://doi.org/10.36791/tcg.v8i20.165.
The objective of the work is to analyze the incidence of COVID-19 in the tourist cruise sector with operations in the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas, focusing on the average expenditure made by cruise passengers in the city once they disembark. To do this, the economic loss generated by the pandemic has been calculated and, after analyzing the prospects for economic recovery in the main visiting countries, three recovery scenarios for the sector are proposed. We conclude that there is a greater probability that the cruise sector with operations in the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas will recover in the season from November 2022 to April 2023.
