PEREZ SILVA, María Belén. Poetization of the border in: Sempoalxóchitl. Veinte flores: una sola flor by Natalio Hernández and Se ha despertado el ave de mi corazón by Leonel Lienlaf. Connotas. Rev. crit. teór. lit. [online]. 2023, n.26, pp.192-211.  Epub 26-Jun-2023. ISSN 2448-6019.  https://doi.org/10.36798/critlit.v0i26.440.

The following article comparatively analyzes the territorial and symbolic representation of the border (Tabuenca) in the poetic works: Se ha despertado el ave de mi corazón (1989) by the Chilean author of Mapuche origin, Leonel Lienlaf (1969) and Sempoalxóchitl. Veinte flores: una sola flor (1987) (1987) by the Mexican writer of Nahuatl origin, Natalio Hernández (1947). Both works show the tension between the indigenous and western worldview, in addition to being contemporary works, they also share the fact of being situated in a hegemonic cultural field in contrast to the expression of a community (Groppo). To understand the literary mechanisms used to poetize the experience of the border language, this article proposes: the inclusion of motifs of the worldview (Nahuatl / Mapuche), as well as the process of transforming singing into writing, this last strategy is understood from the notion of secrecy (Johnson and Michaelsen), which alludes to the impossibility of fully communicating aspects of a culture and orality (Chihuailaf), which indicates the midpoint between orality and writing.

Palabras llave : border; community; song; oral literature.
