On his 40th anniversary, Centro de Investigación en Química Aplicada (CIQA) celebrates that half of his life has been devoted to research, develop and innovate (RD+i) in nanoscience and nanotechnology (NT and NS). As a result a number of RD+i projects in NS and NT have been supported from government agencies, mainly CONACyT, and overseas, as well as from private industry. The main products of such RD+i projects are scientific papers, intellectual property (patents), highly educated human resources in PhD, masters and bachelors lever, and recently nanotechnology undergraduate students. All of this have contributed to the generation of new knowledge, fundamental and applied and human resources formation in priority sectors such as heath care, energy, agriculture, automotive among others.
