The Engineering Division of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus (DICIS) of the University of Guanajuato is committed to support the public interest through high quality human resources training and high-level research. Research in the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology span several academic groups, and research lines in MSc and PhD degrees. Recently, the DICIS has acquired a class-1000’s cleanroom located at the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies (DEM) in Yuriria, Gto. with a thermal evaporator for thin film deposition and an I-V magnetic field system for measurements up to 1T. The DICIS supports academic collaboration between researchers belonging to different academic groups and departments, and interuniversity cooperation at national and international level. The DICIS is committed to improve the knowledge of nanoscience and nanotechnology to enhance functional materials and sensors.
