The origin of the Sustainable Chemistry Research Joint Center UAEM-UNAM (CCIQS) is described here. The main scientific activities performed therein regarding nanoscience and nanotechnology (N&N), and the researchers involved in them, are also portrayed. In addition, there is a brief description about the relevance of human resources development, throughout the bachelor and graduate studies programs available in the School of Chemistry at UAEM.
