Political violence of gender can be promoted from the media, by the reproduction of facts that allude to this phenomenon. This research reports the results obtained through an analysis of the media treatment carried out by the press in the national context, during the Federal Electoral Process of 2015 in México. Frame analysis is used to achieve the objective of identifying the presence of gender-based political violence in the Mexican press. Four frames are constructed to locate discrimination, inequality, aggression and recognition. The results allow to affirm that greater importance is given to the presence of aggression, in despite when recognition is presented, does not have a good place in the newspapers.
