GOMEZ-GARCIA, F. History and development of hip arthroplasty: a vision of its successes, failures and teachings. (Part two). Acta ortop. mex [online]. 2021, vol.35, n.5, pp.440-452. Epub 22-Ago-2022. ISSN 2306-4102. https://doi.org/10.35366/104572.
This is the second of two parts of the history and development of hip arthroplasty. In this part, a historical review of the development of contemporary hip alloarthroplasty is made. The purpose of this part is to give continuity to the first one where the first four periods were analyzed. This fifth part corresponds to the revision of its last stage that includes from 1970 to the present time. Comments are also made about our attitudes in the present and the route we envision towards the future.
