Abstract
F.J., Segura-Muñoz and MARTIN-CHIVELET, N.. Automation of angular reflectance test of external photovoltaic modules and experimental validation of angular loss models. RIIIT. Rev. int. investig. innov. tecnol. [online]. 2018, vol.6, n.34. ISSN 2007-9753.
The photovoltaic (PV) modules experience angular current losses in normal conditions. For this reason the short-circuit current of photovoltaic modules depending on the angle of incidence, is studied. Experimental measurements have been performed automatically, thanks to a control program developed in the project. The current values, corrected for temperature and irradiance variations, are represented against the angle of incidence, and the angular radiation losses will be obtained. Additionally, the angular losses of PV modules of different technologies will be characterized and the mathematical models of Martin-Ruiz and ASHRAE will be validated.
Keywords : angle of incidence of radiation; angular losses; mathematical models; irradiance; photovoltaic modules.
