DRIVET BARALE, Leandro. The body in language: renegations of psychoanalysis. Iztapalapa. Rev. cienc. soc. humanid. [online]. 2013, vol.34, n.75, pp.199-213.  Epub Oct 22, 2019. ISSN 2007-9176.

Against Socratic and Christian traditions that considered body and virtue incompatible, Nietzsche vindicated the body as the center of gravity of thought. Marked by Nietzsche, Freud continued the expansion of rationality, questioning the stigma of sexuality and finding in the body the anatomophysiologic foundation of impulses. This work states that Freud’s rejection of metaphysics in the name of the metapsychology could be displaced from the ranks of psychoanalysis by a willingness of formalization that risks to reinstate an obsolete dualism leading to forget the body once again.

Keywords : Nietzsche; Freud; materialism; social theory; aesthetics.
