This paper aims to identify relevant coincidences between the institutional approach, anthropology and cognitive sciences. The concept of institution used by Thorstein Veblen in the beginning of the 20th century and the vision of homo institutionalis of contemporary schools constitute the topics from which the convergent aspects of institutionalism, anthropology and cognitive sciences will be explored.
