This paper proposes the notions of "antinomies", "balance between opposites" (Pierre-Joseph Proudhon), and "analogies" (Ludwig Wittgenstein, Paul Ricœur and Jean-Claude Passeron), as well as some crosswise instruments of sociology in dialogue with philosophy's "game of knowledge". Using these tools, the three dimensions of sociology's "game of knowledge" are then explored: the ontological, epistemological and theoretical. This reflexive and forward-looking research is part of current efforts to reconstruct global frames in social sciences, different from the totalizing endeavors but without yielding to "postmodern" fragmentation.
