Romantic love eighteenth and nineteenth century is history. Eighteenth and nineteenth century romantic love is history. Nowadays, social networks and new technologies have changed the ways of communicating and loving. People get to know each other through a screen and establish ephemeral, liquid and superfluous links from there. Are those nonsense relationships? Or are they new relationships that arise in postmodernism? Love "a la carte" is part of a consumer society that wants everything instantly, the here and now extended in an eternal present. Everything is marked by instant satisfaction, ephemeral and ego-centered needs. Liquid relationships in a liquid world start and evaporate instantly, passion takes seconds and love is ephemeral; the bet does not transcend the present and the links are not concerned with durability.
