Digitization and automation are the industrial processes proposed by the fourth industrial revolution, which through various resources called software or intelligent systems effectively provide tools and strategies in order to improve the productivity of companies. In this way, digital businesses must take into account the great relevance of the use of the Internet of Things, and therefore, this research was carried out in order to identify the probability of the evolution of the Industry in Santo Domingo to Industry 4.0.
