Women's volleyball is practiced in most of the world at a professional and amateur level. Vertical jumps are a fundamental part of the development of this sport, so plyometrics turns out to be effective for an increase in performance. It is intended to demonstrate with a bibliographic study that the methods and programs of plyometric training in volleyball players are of great help to improve the block jump, since stretching and shortening exercises are decisive to improve the elasticity of athletes. Training the lower body with plyometrics has a significant impact on strength, which is an important factor in player performance.

Keywords : Volleyball; plyometrics; jump; block.
