This study addresses a doctrinal conceptualization about comprehensive reparation and its mechanisms, and the criminal legal reality of this legal figure in Ecuador, analyzing this figure from the point of view of various scholars and Ecuadorian regulations. The proposed objective is to determine the notions, mechanisms and the context of integral reparation in Ecuador, and for this the following methods were used: inductive, synthetic analytical, logical historical, bibliographic and exegetical. From this reading, a clear and up-to-date notion will be obtained about the doctrinal meanings of comprehensive reparation; the mechanisms of reparation of this legal figure, also establishing the situation of integral reparation in Ecuador.
