Abstract

ZAMBRANO NAVARRETE, Xiomara Alejandra; CAICEDO TORO, Micheal David  and  FAREZ-ROMAN, Valeria. Distributed water balance with pedotransfer functions for estimating extreme events. Dilemas contemp. educ. política valores [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.spe2, 00023.  Epub Apr 21, 2021. ISSN 2007-7890.  https://doi.org/10.46377/dilemas.v8i.2607.

Distributed water balances play a very important role in water resource management by contributing to the simulation and understanding of spatio-temporal variability through hydrological data and characteristic soil parameters. The aim of this paper is to estimate characteristic hydraulic properties on Valle Hermoso canton, and by this means to carry out a distributed water balance with pedotransference functions to estimate extreme events.

Keywords : water resources; water balance; pedotransfer functions; extreme events.
