Abstract

CAMACHO-MATA, Dacia Yurima; OROZCO-RAMIREZ, Luz Adriana; YBARRA-SAGARDUY, José Luis  and  COMPEAN-ORTIZ, Lidia Guadalupe. Paradigms in clinical psychology: Intrapsychic and interpersonal perspective of evidence-based psychological intervention models. CienciaUAT [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.2, pp.59-67. ISSN 2007-7858.

Psychoterapy is largely influenced by psychological concepts. These include both individualistic views, which consider personality as an attribute of a person (intraspychic paradigm), and interpersonal views, which consider the socio-environmental effect on personality (interpersonal paradigm). The objective of this work was to review the convergence and divergence of theoretical and practical aspects of the cognitive behavioral model (intrapsychic paradigm) and the interpersonal and systemic models. These paradigms, far from being opposed, can share their contributions and have practical benefits. For this reason, looking at the roots of each model to find commonalities at the epistemological level allows the coherent and logical integration of both theories and techniques, forming a new therapeutic paradigm that enhances the benefits for patients.

Keywords : Intrapsychic; intrapersonal; cognitive behavioral therapy; systemic therapy; interpersonal therapy.
