Abstract

PALUMBO, María Mercedes. Epistemic approaches in political formation workshops of popular movements in Argentina. Entrediversidades rev. cienc. soc. humanid. [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.1, pp.276-305.  Epub June 30, 2021. ISSN 2007-7610.  https://doi.org/10.31644/ed.v7.n1.2020.a10.

This article intends to analyze the epistemic approaches in three political formation workshops, aimed at grassroots militants, in popular movements of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, Argentina. A general qualitative methodological strategy was carried out, based on a multiplecase study, which implied the triangulation of interviews, observation and document analysis. In the dialogue between the field work and bibliographical precedents, five epistemic approaches were identified within the workshops, understood as pedagogical and epistemic apparatus:Impartation of academic knowledge;Problematization and deconstruction of common sense wisdoms;Recovery, sharing and appraisal of popular wisdoms;Systematization of knowledge and wisdoms; andCo-production of knowledge. The results give an account of the differential contribution of each of these epistemic approaches to affirm and consolidate subjective changeover from mere reception to recognition of the carrying of knowledge, and from the latter to co-production.

Keywords : epistemic approaches; workshops; political formation; popular movements; Argentina.
