This paper presents the progress of an ongoing investigation related to the school career and the process of learning of future math teacher at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. The implication of the analysis of school career is to identify the knowledge and skills that the student teaching of mathematics has and what needs to improve to become a competent teacher and form students able to solve problems and make decisions based on a mathematical thinking.
