Abstract

ORTIZ-RODRIGUEZ, Andrés Ernesto; LOREA-HERNANDEZ, Francisco; PEREZ-FARRERA, Miguel A.  and  MONRO, Alexandre K.. First record of Pilea pteridophylla A.K.Monro (Urticaceae) and Ocotea heribertoi T.Wendt (Lauraceae) for the flora of Chiapas. Bot. sci [online]. 2012, vol.90, n.2, pp.203-206. ISSN 2007-4476.

Pilea pteridophylla A.K.Monro and Ocotea heribertoi T.Wendt are recorded for the first time for Chiapas. Both species are restricted in distribution and endemic to Mexico. Formerly these species have only been found in Tabasco and Oaxaca respectively. The two species were collected in "La Pera" an ecological protection zone in the municipality of Berriozábal, Chiapas, Mexico.
