MUNOZ SALINAS, Francisco y MENDOZA ESCOBEDO, Carlos Javier. La durabilidad en las estructuras de concreto reforzado desde la perspectiva de la norma española para estructuras de concreto. Concr. cem. investig. desarro [online]. 2012, vol.4, n.1, pp.63-86. ISSN 2007-3011.
The durability of reinforced concrete structures is one of the more important aspects that is currently considered by Eurocode to be a priority in the estimation of the service life of buildings. It is so much so that three states of limitations now exist: Ultimate Limit State, Service Limit State, and Durability Limit State which are taken into consideration to test the structural functionality of buildings. The Durability Limit State is used to corroborate the capacity that a structure can support during its service life, and the physical and chemical conditions to which they are exposed. This document details the methodology used in Spain with respect to the Durability Limit State, and is compares it with what is being done in Mexico.
