Abstract

RAYON RUMAYOR, Laura; DE LAS HERAS CUENCA, Ana Ma.  and  MUNOZ MARTINEZ, Yolanda. Creation and management of knowledge in higher education: autonomy, self-regulation and collaboration in learning. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2011, vol.2, n.4, pp.103-122. ISSN 2007-2872.

As a result of an innovation proposal, financed by the Vice rector's Office of Communication and Planning of the University of Alcala during the 2007-2008 term, the teaching innovation proposal presented in this document emerged and was consolidated after three years of application in a core course subject of the   Psychopedagogy Bachelor's Degree program. We describe the teaching strategies linked to the collaborative creation and management of knowledge by students - who may also self-regulate their learning progress. By means of a collaborative scheme in the classroom, built around three key strategies: photographic narration, life stories and personal learning journals, an education model during three academic courses that brought together collaboration, autonomy and self-regulation in learning was configured, so that students may play an active role in the creation and management of knowledge. Appreciations and points of view on the work done illustrate the most relevant reflections and aspects of the education proposal.
