VILA, Luis E.; DAVILA QUINTANA, Delia y MORA, José-Ginés. Skills for innovation at universities in Latin America: an empirical analysis. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2010, vol.1, n.1, pp.5-23. ISSN 2007-2872.
University graduates represent, in every country, the social group that accumulates the largest amount of human capital given that their educational path has been prolonged and called for substantial investment. The premise of this research is that the innovation potential these graduates contribute is an essential determinant for success in their professional career as well as for the overall efficiency of production systems in different countries. The research was based on a large database collected via the macro-survey PROFLEX, performed among 10 000 Latin American university graduates to which an estimate of multilevel production functions have been applied.
