Abstract

RAMIREZ VUELVAS, Carlos. Recepción de la literatura mexicana en la prensa española, durante la transición del siglo XIX al XX. Valenciana [online]. 2014, vol.7, n.14, pp.08-29. ISSN 2007-2538.

In the late nineteenth century, the Mexican literary system created new mechanisms of communication with the Spanish literature, as part of the proposal of Mexican society for cultural recognition in the process of building their national identity. Thus, on the transition of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, the involvement of Mexican writers in the Spanish press allowed the consolidation of the project, at the same time adding pieces of the reception of Mexican literature. This reception was not without difficulties, with different nuances over time including: cultural biases, moral judgments and political statements.

Keywords : Reception; Identity; Exoticism; Modernism.
