This text aims to demonstrate how the progress identified with the modern city promotes opposite reactions to the meaning of that progress. The modernity, appropriated in the speed and rush of everyday existence, also adopted attitudes contrary to what that means. One of those attitudes was the tedium, to the time he denied the reality, it was assumed as a search of the "interior brother".
