Abstract

OSORNO MALDONADO, Víctor Manuel. Felisberto Hernández: escritor que filosofa, filósofo que escribe. Ecos entre la poética hernandiana y el pensamiento de Carlos Vaz Ferreira. Valenciana [online]. 2011, vol.4, n.8, pp.19-34. ISSN 2007-2538.  https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.v0i8.212.

This paper analyzes some affinities between Felisberto Hernández’s avant-garde narrative and the ideas that, on purpose of the writing and the literary art, developed the Uruguayan philosopher Carlos Vaz Ferreira. The focus of this essay lies in the notions “movement” and “process”, thematic and esthetics categories that allow observing the Felisberto’s stories as a series of apparently unfinished discourses, privileging the scriptural procedure above the finished work. In this way, the literature goes away of any notion related with the stasis of the written word and is presented as a philosophical event in which the work is (re)created through reading.

Keywords : Felisberto Hernández; Carlos Vaz Ferreira; movement; unfinished discourse; thought.
