This OVERVIEW briefly outlines the history of the TRACE journal, sponsored by the Centro de Estudios Mexicanos y Centroamericanos (CEMCA, Mexico [Center of Mexican and Central American Studies]), previously known as Mission Archéologique et Ethnologique Française au Mexique (MAEFM, Mexico [French Archeological and Ethnological Mission in Mexico]). A BULLETIN is described as a publication where the investigations of the MAEFM archeologists were presented in 1978, which led to the creation of the TRACE journal. This journal edits original articles regarding the investigation of historical, anthropological, and social Mexican and Central American processes of a political, cultural, economic, linguistic, or religious nature.
