This ESSAY proposes some ideas to enrich the research carried out by historians in relation to built heritage. It essentialy reflects on the need to go beyond the field of investigation in order to establish a link with the area of dissemination and to be able to provide the increasing audience with research results. These linking activities will both lead to socialization as well as conservation of cultural heritage.
