The aim of our paper is to address the problem of immigration from a socio-phenomenological approach, in order to criticize the concepts of border, home and immigrant. Therefore, we shall consider the notions of immigrant and border as argued by Alfred Schutz, taking advantage of such concepts as immigrant and border from a different perspective, where the subjectivities are interpreted as symbolic maps not based in cartographic information.
