ISSN 2448-6698.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the addition of phytase (P) and pectinase, glucanase and hemicellulose (PGH) activities on sorghum-soybean-canola based diets, and a xylanase (X) on diets with dry distillers grain with solubles (DDGS) on the ileal and fecal digestibility of nutrients (Exp 1) and the growth performance (Exp 2) of growing-finishing pigs. In Exp 1, two Basal diets were formulated (B1: sorghum-soybean-canola and B2: sorghum-soybean-canola + DDGS) and the treatments were: 1) B1 + P, 2) B1 + P + PGH, 3) B2 + P, 4) B2 + P + PGH, 5) B2 + P + X, and 6) B2 + P + PGH + X. Exp 2 included four treatments: 1) Positive control (sorghum-soybean-canola) with normal energy; 2) Same as 1, but low in energy; 3) Same as 2 + F + PGH, 4) Same as 3 +GSDS +X. In Exp. 1, the ileal energy digestibility was improved (P<0.05) with +P + PGH, +P + X and +P + PGH + X and the fecal energy digestibility was improved (P<0.05) with +P + X. The PGH released 122 kcal at the ileal level and the X released 147 and 132 kcal of DE/kg of feed at the ileal and fecal level. In Exp 2, the feed efficiency between the Positive control and the Low-energy +P + PGH Treatment was similar (P<0.01), but the Low-energy +P + PGH Treatment had higher (P<0.01) energetic efficiency. The energetic value of DDGS was improved with the addition of P, PGH and X, but the growth response observed in this trial was not consistent.
