BARRIOS DIAZ, Juan Manuel et al. Phosphatic fertilization on yield and quality of tomato in greenhouse. Rev. Mex. Cienc. Agríc [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.4, pp.897-904. ISSN 2007-0934.
Tomato crop (Solanum lycopersicum L.) was studied in a greenhouse to evaluate hybrid saladette type, 'Anibal' and 'Reserva', with doses of phosphorus (kg ha-1 of P2O5) applied to the deep fertilization and applied by fertigation (PAFF/PAF): 100/210, 150/157 and 200/106 to determine its effect on variables of plant growth, yield, fruit quality and efficiency of phosphorus. The results indicated that relations of PAFF/PAF had no effect on measured variables and were only significant differences between genotypes (p≤ 0.05). The average yield per plant harvested the third cluster was greater with 'Anibal' (2.31 kg plant-1) than with 'Reserva' (1.74 kg plant-1). The efficient phosphorus used was higher with 'Anibal' (174 kg of fruit per kg of P2O5 applied) than with 'Reserva' (131 kg kg-1). For both hybrids is set as the best alternative PAFF/PAF 200/106 ratio because it reduces by half the amount of soluble phosphate fertilizer.
