This analysis seeks to answer some questions generated by pecan tree producers located in the mountains of Sonora, especially the new entrants to this activity. These questions are regarding to potential yields of orchards, management, potential value generation processes, and profitability over different horizons, since some production units have showed interest, or are considering to purchase trees at different stages of development. Results generated by a financial economic assessment in different scenarios, regarding orchards that have trees at different stages of production are presented, all parameters attached to the reality of the region.
