Currently, intensive food production both open and protected agriculture is influenced by various factors such as management, optimal management, operation and use of water, total demand of nutrient, supply capacity and reserves of nutrients for the soil , supply and addition of organic and inorganic nutrients to the root zone. All these components are part of a new paradigm in integrated nutrient management, where food security must be ensured in the future, in addition to strengthening the sustainability of intensive agricultural production systems and their relationship with the environment. The aim of this study was to conduct a literature review on strategies that have been implemented in the agronomic management and sustainability of agricultural systems in recent years and methodological proposals of crops from its importance for human consumption and implications in the deterioration of ecosystems.
