GONZALEZ CAMARILLO, Marino et al. Irrigated corn yields zeolite treated plus fertilizer in the state of Guerrero. Rev. Mex. Cienc. Agríc [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.6, pp.1129-1144. ISSN 2007-0934.

During the autumn-winter cycle 2008-2009 in various soils of the state of Guerrero six validation plots were established (PAVAL) to test the effect of the mixture of zeolite granules (ZG) or powder (ZP) more fertilizer (FQ) irrigated corn in proportions based on weight of the formula 90-60-00, in an array of contiguous strips of 0.33 ha: T1) 85% FQ + 15% ZG (> 2 mm), T2) 100% FQ + 600 kg ha-1 (ZP <1 mm), and T3) 100% FQ without zeolite. In each treatment, five plots were delimited as a way of repetitions of 8 m2; where the measured plant density (PD), plant height (PH), stem diameter (SD) and grain yield (GY), whose values were subjected to analysis of variance by location and between locations, using respectively the designs completely randomized and split plot; separately was applied the mean comparison test of Tukey, 0.05. According to the results, the GY (t ha-1) of T1 ranged from 4.72-8.46, T2 of3.59-9.42 and T3 of3.97-7.30. There were no statistically significant differences between treatments within each site for PH, DT, and GY, but the analysis treatment x location reflected in many cases effects statistically different between treatments in favor of T2 with respect to GY and inconsistent in terms of PH. We conclude that medium-textured soils or clay without acidity problems; the T2 offers the best possibilities of increasing the GY in irrigated corn.
