Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify through field training, perception and knowledge of technological components related to feeding livestock with different types of producers in northern Sinaloa. Three groups of producers Ahome, El Fuerte and Guasave were selected by non-probability sampling. The producers interviewed have differentiated knowledge regarding the use of components related to feeding livestock: 66.7% of small farmers did not know the importance of using herbicides and fertilizers in the cultivation of sorghum, 75% of small producers know how to generate seed with plant material for the establishment of grasslands, and 50% of medium-sized producers aware of the existence of different varieties of alfalfa. The study analyzed the perception of the producer on the use of technologies in the area of livestock feed is related to the level of resources that account, in this case, the herd size.
