The present work analyzes the transformation of the landscape in cruising destinations, specifically referring to the case of Majahual, Quintana Roo, as a planned and developed destination around the cruise liner activity. In order to do this, through the deductive and transversal analysis we review the context of the ongoing expansion of the cruising activities and some of its implications; we also address the concept of landscape and its relationship with the social construction of space and discuss the case of Mahahual, some of its characteristics and its nature regarding tourist space and landscape, and finally concluding about the social construction of not one, but several landscapes.
