The contemporary city is populated by screens, which in turn, host the city. Televisions, computers, cell phones, GPS, etc., their presence and technological advance, have re-stated our feelings and experiences regarding the surroundings, and the images of the world. Have modified our living spaces, and contributed in conditioning a new reading on space-time that has to do with simultaneity, with the contraction of life in real time; in which diverse scenarios overlap, thus the possibility of "multiple" worlds and cities, as well as the creation of virtual communities, becomes a reality. The visual discourse and critical art should reflect on part that the screen plays in societies, this research paper seeks, from a theoretical review, to put it in it's fair perspective regarding it's conditioning part in and for public spaces.
