Plastination is a scientifc procedure through dead body is preserved and acquires plastic appearance, allowing its manipulation. This practice has gone beyond the limit of laboratory and the classroom of Medicine, becoming art, whereas the dead body is object of exhibition in art galleries around the world and contemplated as such. In this paper are exposed some refections on artistic status of Von Hagens’s work of art, through some elements that it inspires.
