This article proposes a thorough review of two fundamental concepts of foucauldian thought: the "discursive formations" and "order of discourse". These two categories are of great importance for understanding the project of an "archeology of knowledge" from which we can draw many conclusions and tasks for practice "discourse analysis" contemporaries. While the "analysis" is not a significant set theory, its status is a "policy" to be understood as a critique of domination and "power effects" of discourse in our societies. As I argue in this paper, the critique developed by Foucault leads to a strategy of resistance and not to the transcendental examination of the conditions of the judgement.
